James M. Lynch

James M. Lynch, of Milton, died suddenly at Milton Hospital on Saturday, October 16, 2021. He was 41.

Jimmy was raised in Milton and attended Milton Schools before enrolling in Blue Hills Regional High School from which he graduated in 1999. Following graduation, he worked as a cook in the restaurant industry for many years.

Jimmy was a friendly and engaging person. His love of the sports, especially the Boston Bruins and wrestling, not only contributed to his happiness but also served as a connection to his many friends. At the time of his death, Jimmy was watching the Red Sox ALCS game vs the Houston Astros and erupted with a “Yes!” when J.D. Martinez hit the first of two grand slams in the game. Although he did not live to see the end of the game, Jimmy died doing what made him happy.

He was the beloved son of James P. and Catherine (Finn) Lynch of Milton and the brother of Catherine “Katie” Lynch and Johanna Ozcivi and her husband Ulgen of West Roxbury. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins here and in Ireland.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Agatha Church, Milton at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
