On the evening of February 8, 2015, James Harold Ploof, of Weymouth, passed suddenly at the age of 57.

James Ploof was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Son of the late Dorothy Fitzpatrick and Harold Ploof. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen P. Cady-Ploof.  Loving father to Bridget Ploof of Quincy, Kyle Ploof of Los Angeles, CA, Lyle Braaten and Kevin Braaten, both of Weymouth. Brother of Deborah Ploof of Billerica, John Ploof and his wife Angelita of Quincy, Cathaleen Ploof of Quincy, Michael Ploof and his wife Sue of Rochester, NH, Thomas Ploof and his wife Nancy of Quincy, Jennifer Keeley and her husband Todd of Weymouth, and the late Billy Ploof. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

James loved walks at Pond Meadow with his wife, Kathie, and dogs Lucky and Shiloh. He was great with his hands and could build a house from the ground up. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, Feb. 12th, 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 13th at 11 a.m. in Old South Union Church, Weymouth.
