James E. “Tank” Trubia

James E. “Tank”  Trubia, a lifelong resident of Hull, died at his home,  after a courageous battle, on Friday May 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, he was 61. The beloved and devoted husband of Jo-Anne (Tarbox) Trubia together for 41 years.. Cherised father of James P. Trubia, SPD of Springfield. Loving son of Elizabeth (Anderson) Trubia and the late Salvatore Trubia. Brother of Michael Trubia and his wife Eileen of CT., Lawrence Trubia and his wife Margaret of Hull, and the late John R. Trubia. Brother in Law of Mari-Anne Sullivan and the late Thomas of Hull, and Paul Tarbox and his wife Debbie of FL. Nephew of Grace Anderson of Hull. Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Jim was born and raised in Hull. He graduated from Hull High School Class of 1974 and the furthered his education at Salem State College earning his degree in 1979.  He worked as a supervisor for the Department of Transitional Assistance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 33 years retiring back in 2015. Jim loved coaching baseball and he was great at it. He was also an avid Boston sports fan.  A lover of Chinese food, especially steak wor bar from Sarho’s in Hull. He will be remembered as a happy go lucky man with a great sense of humor, a friend everyone would want to have. Jim will be remembered as a devoted husband, a cherished father, a loving son and brother and a great friend who stayed strong to the very end. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
