Ita B. Leonard

Ita B. (Power) Leonard of Hull, died at home surrounded by her loving family on November 25, 2018 at the age of 89.

Ita was born and raised in St. Kevin’s Parish in Dorchester. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and would celebrate St. Patrick’s Day annually at her home, affectionately known as the “Irish Riviera”. For over 55 years, Ita was a daily communicant at St. Ann’s Church, St. Mary’s Parish in Hull where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved to sing, knit and crochet. Most of all, she cherished spending time with family and friends.

Wife of the late Robert J. Leonard. Loving mother of Robert J. Leonard, II and wife Anne of Middleboro, Kevin P. Leonard and wife Elizabeth of Weymouth, Dennis P. Leonard and wife Maureen of Whitman, Timothy W. Leonard and wife AnnMarie of Braintree, Colleen T. Larsen and husband Mike of Hull, Ita M. Leonard of Hull, Patrice A. Kenney and husband Thomas of Hull, Colin P. Leonard and wife Patricia of Whitman, and the late Terence M. Leonard. Sister of the late John Power. Cherished “Nana” to 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery.
