O’Neil, Gerald K. (Jerry) of Quincy, formerly of Charlestown and Jamaica Plain, passed away August 17, 2017.   Jerry was a longtime resident of Quincy, moving there in 1975. He was a 1962 graduate of Boston State College. He was a teacher for the Boston Public School System for 33 years. He will be sadly missed. Dear brother to Margaret “Peggy” O’Neil of Quincy, William F. O’Neil and his wife Marie of Holbrook, Timothy J. O’Neil of E. Bridgewater and his late wife Marilyn, and the late David P. O’Neil and his wife Maureen O’Neil of Stoughton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church in Quincy on Monday at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gerald may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
