Gaetano P. DeLuca

DeLuca, Gaetano P. “Guy” of Hingham, died June 12, 2018.

Guy put his life into his family and his work. He received an Engineering Degree from Northeastern and a Master’s of Education from Cambridge College. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. When he was discharged from the Marines, Guy worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Corps. of Engineers. In 1970 he established his own Construction Company and over the next 40 years he built Schools, Police Stations, Elderly Housing,Town Halls, Theatres and Power Plants. He was generous and always gave his spare time to family and friends, never hesitating to lend a hand. He was charismatic and protective of the ones he loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of the late Angelina (Mercuri) DeLuca. Devoted father of Gaetano J. DeLuca and his wife Diane of Plymouth, Diane Hutchison and her husband Dennis of Hingham, Joseph DeLuca of Nevada, and Maria Brady and her husband James of Hingham. Loving brother of the late Anthony, Jenny, Ann, Salvatore, Josephine, Helen, Frances, George, and Mary. Cherished “Papa” of Danielle, Dennis, Dane, Dean, Bianca, Joseph, Michael, Terry, James, Kevin, and the late Nicole. Also survived by 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
