Frederick J. Kussman

Frederick J. Kussman, age 84 of Quincy, formerly of South Boston died June 16, 2018.

Beloved husband of 64 years of Janice (Logan), devoted father to Joanne Devin of Canton, Patricia of Quincy, Frederick F of Quincy, Claire Pacchielat and her husband Tony of Easton, Mary Burke and her husband Ken of Easton. Loving Papa to 10 grandchildren; Paul, Christine, Katelyn, Melissa, Edward, Steven, Mike, Jim, Sarah and Joe. 2 Great-grandsons, Jaxon and Rony.  Brother of the late Paul Kussmann and his wife Carole of Milton and Waterboro ME, the late Mary Catherine and late Bob Dockendorff.  Survived by his aunt Barbara Bugden of Framingham.  Dear friend of Terry Dunn of Quincy and the late Charlie Nugent. 

Life member of the South Boston Yacht Club, DAV Korea, served in the Navy aboard the USS Abbot DD-629, retired from Commonwealth of MA BBC.  Fred enjoyed his family, friends, sailing, bowling, piano playing and his childhood in South Boston playing with the City Point Wildcats.  Despite a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease Fred remained at home and was active in the community and neighborhood. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
