Francis X. Fournier

Francis X. “Frank” Fournier of Squantum, died November 24, 2015.

Beloved husband of the late M. Lucille (Birrittieri) Fournier.  Loving father of Frank A. Fournier, Steven J. Fournier and his wife Cheryl, Laura E. Hobin and her husband Ned, Edward J. Fournier and his wife Kelly all of Quincy and Susan M. Rowse and her husband Danny of North Easton. Cherished grandfather of Ashley and Thomas Fournier of Quincy, Jarad Rowse of North Easton and the late Amanda Jean Fournier.  Great-grandfather of Skylar Marie. Dear brother of Thomas and his wife Joan of Hudson, FL, Joseph and his wife Mary of Cape Coral, FL and the late Arthur “Sonny” Fournier.  Frank is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Frank loved the sea as a young man he was the Captain for Fournier Marine Tugs in East Boston. In 1960, he established, the family business, Fournier Construction, where he was a proud teacher of many tradesmen throughout the years.   He was a lifelong member of the Old Colony Yacht Club in Dorchester as well as a member of The Moose Club.  He enjoyed boating, reading, vacationing in his winter home in Tamarac, FL and golfing.  He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him. His passion was spending time with his grandkids and family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:00AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM.
