Frances A. Greene

Greene, Frances Magazu Nahass, of Marion, formerly of Hingham, died October 2, 2017.

Frances was born in July of 1921 in Philadelphia, PA to parents Domenic and Sarah Magazu of Gibbstown, NJ. Oldest sister to the late Anne Lisa, Rose DiMuzio, Frank Magazu and Mary Reel and to her only surviving sibling Ret. Col. Harry Magazu and his wife Kay and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her four children Barbara Rees of Bridgewater, MA and her husband Robert, Diana Kinch of Hull, MA and her husband James; Elias Nahass of Schenectady, NY and Betty Kinch of Whitman MA as well as 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was the wife of the late Dr. Elias N. Nahass and the late Harland Greene.

Fran graduated from Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing ,Philadelphia, PA. She lived in Brockton, MA with her husband Eli and their four children. Fran resumed a career in nursing after her husband Elias Nahass died, having been out of nursing for 25 years. She became head nurse of IV therapy at the Brockton Hospital and retired after a career of 24 years. Fran moved to Linden Ponds, Hingham MA in 2006 and moved to the Sippican Health Care Center in Marion MA in 2016. Our family extends a sincere thanks to the Sippican Healthcare and the Fidelis Hospice Teams for their professional care and kind attention. Frances enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, casino trips, and especially being with family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
