Evangelos G. “Angelo” Souliopoulos

Evangelos G. “Angelo” Souliopoulos, 81 of Quincy, passed away Sunday January 12, 2020.   

Born in Greece, he was the son of the late George and Diohno Souliopoulos.  Angelo was educated in Greece, and emigrated to the United States where he began a long and successful career in the restaurant industry, as the Proprietor of Agostino’s Restaurant in Natick for over 45 years.  Angelo loved cooking for everyone and was a very personal person.  He treated his staff at the restaurant like his own and they were dedicated to him for many many years.  In his free time, Angelo enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and was a horse racing fan.  He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and boss who will be missed by all who knew him.    

Evangelos was the beloved husband of Spyridoula (Tsmous) Souliopoulos of Quincy, and the devoted father of George Souliopoulos of Framingham, Betsy Ryan and her husband Paul of Hingham, Christina DeVoe and her husband Michael of Marshfield, and Kostas Souliopoulos of Quincy.  He was the proud grandfather of Isabelle, Theodore, Cassandra, Caitlin, Joseph, Sean, Angelo, Emma, and Patrick.  He was the brother of Ariti Souliopoulos, Eftihia Souliopoulos, Kostas Souliopoulos, Sotirios Souliopoulos, Spyridoula Liakas, Sofia Parisidis, Garifalia Gizelis, and Urania Kesaris, and is survived by many extended family members and friends here in the United States and in Greece. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, Braintree. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
