Keohane Funeral Home

SAYERS, Elizabeth V. (Doherty) “Beth” 49, of Marshfield, and formerly of Quincy, died Friday August 17, 2018.  

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Virginia E. (Kelly) and the late Bernard J. Doherty of Quincy.  Beloved wife of James M. “Jimmy” Sayers of Marshfield.  Devoted mother of Brianna Sayers.  Sister of Bernard F. (Barney) Doherty and his wife Robin of Tewksbury, William J. Esq. and his wife Dr. Xiao Doherty of Wilbraham and the late Francis P. and Thomas J. Doherty.  Daughter in-law of Francis and Barbara Sayers of North Quincy.  Sister in-law of Frank Sayers and his wife Tracy of Weymouth, Jack Sayers and his wife Nancy of Abington, Mark Sayers and his wife Diane of Quincy, Linda Mantville and her husband Kevin of Quincy, and Karen Sayers of Pembroke.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  In addition, Beth leaves behind her faithful canine companions Brandy and Magic.

Beth was a 1987 graduate of Archbishop Williams High School, and went on to work for many years in Human Resources for the Committee for Public Counsel in Boston.  She was a long-time coordinator of the AWHS class reunions, and was a past member of the St. Ann’s, Neponset band.  Beth enjoyed traveling, painting, dancing, singing, and watching her favorites on television such as General Hospital, and Lifetime Movies.  She truly cherished the times spent with her family, and especially enjoyed attending Brianna’s sporting events, plays and dance recitals.    

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. Family and friends will gather in the funeral home beginning at 10 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
