McLean, Elizabeth L. (Cullen) “Betty” of Quincy, MA and Bartlett, NH, died October 16, 2018.

Beloved wife of the late Walter J. McLean, Jr.. Loving mother of Margaret Laforest and her husband Jeff of Quincy.  Devoted Nana B of Kelsey and Krista Laforest, both of Quincy.  Cherished sister of Terrance Cullen and his wife Charlene of FL, Alice Ash and her husband Richard of Weymouth, Patricia DiLillo and her husband Jerry of Weymouth and the late Joseph and his wife Celina Cullen, Willie Cullen, George Cullen, and Eugene Cullen.   Caring sister in law of Leona Cullen of Quincy, Terri Cullen of FL and Vicky Nees and her husband Larry of PA.  Adored companion of Jack Keeley of Quincy.  Dear relative of Paula Younie of Quincy.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially her closest friend Janet Rooney.

Betty was a life long resident of Houghs Neck.  She was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1955 and later Chandler School for Women. She worked at MIT for 14 years, and subsequently at spin off SofTech Inc.. She was the owner of Atlantic Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners for over 25 years and retired from FEMA, where she worked for 15 years. For many holiday seasons, she was the #1 elf in the gift design team at Curtis Liquors in Weymouth. Betty was an avid skier; a Lifetime Passholder at Wildcat Mountain and member of the Makusue, Innitou, and Skidaddlers Ski Clubs.  She also enjoyed sailing and spending time on the water.  Betty was passionate about the City of Quincy and was active in many Political Campaigns and volunteered for many community organizations. She was as a Past President of Houghs Neck Community Council and was a devoted member of the Catholic Daughters at Holy Trinity Parish.  Betty will be remembered for her loving and caring personality, her inspiration and her encouragement to others. True to her Irish heritage and herself, she would hate to miss a party, especially one in her honor.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
