Foley, Elizabeth (East), (Betty Boop) of Hanson passed away on December 4, 2018, under a Christmas tree with a cd playing of Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton singing her favorite Christmas songs.
Christmastime was her favorite time of year. She loved to give to others and make people happy. Betty had an open house every Christmas Eve which included her homemade favorite of mini cherry cheesecakes as well as gifts for her family members which always included underwear and socks. Betty worked at Building #19 warehouse in Hingham for many years where she was also in charge of buying the birthday cakes for all the employees. She loved birthdays almost as much Christmas. She was a very generous person and was quite the character. She loved to wear crazy hats and special outfits for any occasion. Betty made people happy. She loved country music and her favorite, of course, was Kenny Rogers. Betty rarely missed a concert when he came to town.
Betty was the beloved wife of the late Francis Foley and devoted mother of Stephen Foley and his wife Marie of Weymouth, Maryann Onessimo of Rockland, the late Martin Foley, Francis Foley Jr and his wife Angela of Newton and Elizabeth Doherty and her husband Dan of Hanson. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are private.
