Eleanor K. Coughlin

Coughlin, Eleanor K. (Rooney), also known as Nana or Auntie to her family, has risen to be with the Lord at the age of 89.  Eleanor was pre-deceased by the love of her life, Daniel S. Coughlin, Sr.  She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine and her husband John Contos of Quincy, her sons Daniel S. Coughlin, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Quincy, Richard J. Coughlin and his wife Andrea of Raynham and Robert C. Coughlin and his wife Kelli of Danvers.  Also survived by her Grandchildren whom she adored, Meghan Caldwell and her husband Matthew, Kerry Jane Coughlin, Lauren and Alexandra Coughlin, Michael Coughlin and his wife Lauren, Kevin Coughlin and Laura Coughlin, also many nieces and nephews she loved.  
 
Eleanor resided in Quincy her entire life, traveling to Lauderdale-By-The-Sea each February and Dennisport every summer.  She was an accomplished knitter, Celtics fan, proud North Quincy High Alumni, avid Bingo player and enjoyed listening to music.  The past five years Eleanor lived at Fenno House in Wollaston where she enjoyed her beautiful apartment, daily activities and many trips.  She leaves many dear friends at Fenno House, especially the caring staff.  
 
Eleanor was the last survivor of her family, pre-deceased by her sisters Dorothy, Margaret and brothers, William, James, John and Kenneth.  She will be greatly missed by her immediate and extended family.  
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
