Eleanor A. Bonoli

Bonoli, Eleanor A. (Bogni) of Braintree, died July 24, 2018.

Eleanor was born and raised in Boston and then moved to Quincy where she raised her family. She then moved to Milton where she lived for over thirty years. Eleanor was an extraordinary woman who was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, the ocean, and loved entertaining, music, and art. She met with a small group of friends every Tuesday evening for over 40 years that she called the “Club”. Eleanor worked as a clerk at Commercial Union Insurance for many years before retiring. She was a strong, hardworking, and generous woman who always had time for her family and friends. She spent the final few years of her life in the wonderful care of the Sunrise Assisted Living in Braintree. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony Bonoli. Loving mother of Paul Bonoli and his wife Ann of Quincy, Daniel Bonoli and his wife Nancy of Quincy, Christine Bonoli-Stohlberg of Center Barnstead, NH, Steven Bonoli and his wife Denise of East Falmouth, and the late Thea Bonoli. Sister of the late Rose Chirichetti, Eva Bogni, Frank Bogni, and Norena Harrison. Sister-in-law of Thelma Masse of Walpole. Cherished “Nonni” of Tess, Emma, Anthony, Lia, Carl, and Jack. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Agatha’s Church, Milton at 10:30 AM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd.,  Waltham, MA 02452 or to a charity of your choice.
