Elaine A. Sneyd

Sneyd, Elaine A. (Yule) of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at Allerton House Weymouth on November 7, 2022, at the age of 93. Elaine was born in Boston to the late Robert and Marion (Brown) Yule. She was raised in Mattapan and graduated from Hyde Park High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Ed, they started their family in Mattapan before moving to Weymouth in 1976. She worked for several years at Talbots in Hingham until her retirement in 1991. She loved to read and was an avid knitter. Elaine’s family was the cornerstone of her life and she loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Edward T. Sneyd, Sr. Loving mother of Linda Tillett and her late husband Wayne of Franklin, the late Edward Sneyd, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Mansfield, Joni Champagne and John Lieneck of Foxboro, Jeanne Crowley and her husband Larry of Weymouth and Richard Sneyd and his wife Sandra of Whitman. Devoted Grammy of Kristen (Tillett) Doty, Wayne Tillett, Jr., Scott and Justin Sneyd, David Champagne, Jessica (Champagne) Hansen, Jennifer Korzeniowski, Amanda (Crowley) Falcone, Lindsey Crowley, Toni and Jamie Sneyd, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and predeceased by 10 older siblings.

A very special thank you to CarePro Adult Day Health Services and Accent Care/Seasons Hospice. The family is forever grateful to the staff, both past and present, at Allerton House Memory Care, Weymouth, for their compassionate care, love and support over the past 3 years. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, November 13, 1-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A funeral service will be celebrated following visiting hours on Sunday at 4 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH. Burial at MA National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday, November 14 at 10:45 AM.
