Stanton, Edward (Eddie) L. of Quincy, died September 25, 2016 after a courageous battle with the disease of drug and alcohol addiction.

Eddie was a lifelong resident of Quincy, he graduated North Quincy High School in 1988. He worked for the Local 67 Carpenters Union for many years. He enjoyed playing golf in his spare time and had a passion for craftsmanship and art. Family was the cornerstone of Eddie’s life, especially being with his nieces and nephews.  He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Loving father of Skye Stanton of NH. Cherished son of Mary (Hernon) and Edward (Ted) Stanton of North Quincy. Dear brother of Rick Stanton and Susan of Newton, Michael Stanton and Kelly of Quincy, Tricia Doyle Stanton of Quincy. Brother in law of Ted Doyle of Rockland. Loving uncle of Eddie, Catherine, Coleman, Mary, and Patrick. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Celebration of life services will be held in the funeral home on Monday morning at 9:15. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edward may be made to The Gavin Foundation, 675 E. 4th Street, South Boston, MA, 02127 (gavinfoundation.org).
