Edward C. O’Malley

O’Malley Sr., Edward C. of Quincy, passed away July 22, 2016.

Edward was a graduate of Boston English High School and Boston Naval Shipyard, Apprentice School. Edward was a proud Army staff sergeant in World War II. Mr. O’ Malley served for 37 years as a District Engineering Inspector in the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Safety retiring in 1991.

Beloved husband of the late Madeline M. (O’Hara) O’Malley. Son of the late Austin O’Malley and Margaret (Byrne) O’Malley. Loving father of Edward C. O’Malley Jr. and his wife Diana of Hingham, Mary E. Lydon of Braintree, Janet M. McEleney and her husband Stephen of South Windsor CT, Paul G. O’Malley of Newton, Nancy M. O’Malley and her husband Martin V. Boelitz of Dorchester, Robert A. O’ Malley of Provincetown MA and Kevin J. O’Malley and his wife Beth of Lakeville. Predeceased by his son in law Barry T. Lydon. Proud grandpa of 12 and great grandpa to 4. Loving brother of the late Austin O’ Malley, William O’ Malley, Dorothy Joyce and Mary Hogan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
