Edward “ Big Ted” Woods, of Quincy, passed away on December 4, 2018.

The beloved son of the late Williams H. Woods, Ret.BFD and Mary T. (Kane) Woods. Loving father of Danielle Rose Woods of Quincy. Brother of William  H. Woods, III of Franklin, Joseph P. Woods of Holbrook,  Mary Lou Bryan of Quincy, Carol Ann Abbruzzese of Holbrook, Paul Woods of Weymouth, Donna Johnston of Hingham and the late Gerard Woods.  Ted is  also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong “Quincy guy”, Ted graduated from North Quincy High School. He worked as a laborer for local 223.  Every Sunday Ted looked forward to watching his favorite sports team The New England Patriots. Ted was a big fan of music, and enjoyed long drives with his daughter listening to the classics he grew up with. In addition Ted loved taking walks on Castle Island and spending afternoons drinking coffee and chatting with his siblings. He will be deeply missed. But never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday morning Dec. 12 from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Services will conclude with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
