Edna M. McLaughlin

McLaughlin, Edna M. of Weymouth, passed away on May 24, 2017.

Edna worked for many years and retired at Cambridge City Hospital. She also was a seamstress for many years and also was very proud of receiving a silver thimble award for making her own prom dress which she really enjoyed. Edna was one of the founders of the vision house and in her spare time time enjoyed cooking and just adored her pets.

She was a beautiful wife and mother and was so dedicated to her son, William after suffering a brain injury with the love and dedication to him.  Wife of the late Francis Edmond. McLaughlin, of 50 years.  Mother of Frances Green and her husband, John, of Groton, CT, Paul McLaughlin and his wife, Susan, of Bradenton, FL, William E. McLaughlin of Weymouth and Edna Bell of Weymouth. Grandmother of John Green, Christopher McLaughlin, Benjamin McLaughlin, Jennifer Herrick, Kristen McLaughlin, Katlynn Bell, and Katherine Bell. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy.
