Keene, Donald W. of North Weymouth, formerly of Quincy Point, died August 21, 2016.

Donald proudly served in the US Marine Corp. in the Korean War. He retired from Local 25 after a 24 year career and went on to work for the Quincy Public School Department. Donald was deeply integrated in the community through memberships with the Weymouth Elks, DAV, South Shore Yacht Club, Wessagusset Yacht Club, Whitman and Weymouth Amateur Radio Club and volunteer for the Whipple Center. Don loved sailing with friends and working at the boat yard building floats. He will be dearly missed. 

Beloved husband of Carol (Robitaille) Keene of North Weymouth. Devoted father of Donna Keene and her husband Richard Proctor of North Weymouth. Loving brother-in-law of Paul Robitaille and his wife Brenda. Uncle of Jessica, Stephen, Yvette, Michelle and Heather. Also survived by many extended family members and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 9-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Funeral service will follow in the funeral home on Friday at 11 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Donald may be made to Pilgrim Congregational Church, 24 Athens Street, Weymouth Ma 02191 or a charity of your choice.
