Galvin, David T. of Hingham, passed away November 20, 2015. David lived in Hingham but grew up in Weymouth. He was a teacher for many years at the Gates Middle School in Scituate. Household projects and spending time with his family were what David enjoyed most. Beloved husband to Clare (Gaughen) Galvin of Hingham. Loving son of the late George and Kathryn Galvin. Cherished father to David and his wife Alison of Hanson, Paula Ryan and her husband Chris of Braintree and Dan of Braintree. Papa Dave to Ryan, Samantha, James and Kathryn. Brother of George, Jane, John and the late Mary Killian. Also survived by many nephews and a niece. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held  Wednesday at 9:15 at the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass to follow at the Resurrection Parish in Hingham at 10 AM. Burial at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Shore VNA Palliative Care Division, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.
