Mr. David P. Hegarty, of Weymouth, passed away on August 15, 2017.

David was a Chief Petty Officer for the U.S. Navy for many years. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed golfing, the Boston Bruins, going to Foxwoods and loved to travel.

Son of Dorothy M. (Kundert) Hegarty of Weymouth, and the late Charles W. Hegarty. Loving husband of the late Elizabeth (O’Brien) Hegarty. Brother of Colleen A. Connolly and her husband, Dennis, of Abington, and Charles Hegarty of Weymouth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 5-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square), followed by his Funeral Service at 7 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nessle Cancer Center at Mass General Hospital, Boston.
