McConville, David L. of Quincy, died February 15, 2018.

David lived most of his life in Quincy, graduating from North Quincy High School in 1959 and later enlisting in the U.S. Navy.  He served in Karamursel, Turkey from 1962 to 1964.  David married his high school sweetheart, Eileen, and enjoyed a 46 year romance raising their 4 children and traveling the world together.  As a gate agent for Delta Airlines, the family was able to take summer and winter trips. Bermuda always held a special place in their heart as it was the location of their honeymoon and they returned often on several cruises.  David was a member of the Quincy Elks and Nickerson Post.  He was a generous man who loved his family, traveling, and his special cats Brittany and Garth.

Beloved husband of the late Eileen M. (Doherty).  Loving son of the late Joseph and Margaret (McAvoy).  Son-in-law of the late Dennis and Margaret Doherty.  Loving father of David L., Jr. and his wife Maureen of NH, Sharon E. Nota and her husband Carl of Rockland, Dennis F.D. and his wife Anne of Braintree, and Suzanne M. DiCenso and her husband Angelo of Whitman.  Brother of Joseph, Marilyn, Robert; all of Quincy, and the late William McConville. Cherished grandfather of Kelsey, Amanda, Hannah, Finn, Kayla, and Teddy.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
