Veteran

David J. Linscott

Mr. David J. Linscott of Weymouth, died May 5, 2023.

David was a Braintree Firefighter for many years. He always enjoyed tending to his garden, a member of the Knights of Columbus in Braintree, and was a proud Vietnam veteran serving with the United States Navy. David also worked for Fire Alarm Extinguisher Services in Walpole.

David was always helping others. He was dedicated to his family. He worked many jobs over the years including: owning a pool business, mover, EMT, and CPR instructor. David’s hardworking nature and dedication to his family was always evident. Of his many titles, father, husband, and papa were his most favorite.

When he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was always quick with a smile and ready to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. At home he enjoyed sitting on the deck with Patricia watching the birds, tending to his garden, as well as puttering around in the garage and his cellar work area.

David was strong in his Catholic faith. He was a faithful man that continued to serve in Masses as an ushers. Even when he could not drive he would walk to church and to the cemetery to visit and pray for loved ones, including David and Tommy.
