David E. Wilcox

David E Wilcox, 75, of Weymouth passed unexpectedly at home November 21, 2022.

He was the son of the late Edward  and Jean (Lee) Wilcox


Dave was born in Boston then raised in Niagara Falls, NY, before moving to Weymouth in 1965 and later settling in Braintree. He graduated Niagra Wheat-Field Highschool 1965, and Bentley College class of 1974
Dave had a successful career in the Auto industry working over 20 years managing multiple dealerships for one of New England’s largest dealership chains, The Clair Family Auto Group. His co-workers were always impressed with his determination, intellect and integrity.

Dave was passionate about physical fitness could be found at the gym most mornings before sunrise. Summers were spent soaking up the sun poolside or at the beach, vacations to southern Florida and spending time with his family.

Loving Father of Michael Wilcox and his wife Diane of So. Weymouth, Tracee (Wilcox) Columbia and her husband Todd of South Bound Brook NJ, Brian Wilcox and partner Shawn Stuart of Kingston, Justin Butler of Abington, and Kaelyn Mccombe of Quincy. Dave was a father, step father and guardian who loved and raised us all as his own.

Cherished Grandfather to Matthew and Anthony Wilcox of Weymouth, and Bryce Ruffini of Quincy.

Brother of Donald Wilcox and his wife Lorraine of Upton, Steven Wilcox and his wife Sheree of Oakland, CA, Anthony Wilcox and his wife Marianne of Corvallis, OR, Edward Wilcox of Plymouth, Lisa Wilcox of Weymouth, Michael Wilcox and his wife Lynn of Milton and Jean Wilcox and her spouse Deborah Merriam of Cambridge. 


He is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Our father will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to come and honor his life during visiting hours on December 3rd, 2022 from 11am-1pm followed by a funeral service at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
