Daniel F. Riley

Riley, Daniel F. of Norfolk, formerly of Braintree and Quincy, died April 13, 2015 at the age of 87.
 
A graduate of North Quincy High School, Dan married his high school sweetheart, Frances M. Riley (nee Campbell) after serving in the US Coast Guard.  As an active member of his church, Dan served as a long time religious instructor and lector.  After earning a degree in engineering from  Northeastern University, Dan had a successful 40-year career with EG&G before retiring in 1991.  Dan had a brilliant mind, a quick wit, an avid curiosity and always enjoyed a good laugh. He cherished the time he and Fran spent on the Cape in Eastham with his family.  
 
In addition to his loving wife of 65 years, Dan was the devoted father of Daniel F. Riley, III and wife Claire of Braintree, Karen Shea and husband Dan of Plymouth, Linda Kramer and husband Rich of Avon, Lauren Grady and husband Rich of Boxborough, and Jeffrey Riley and wife Reda of Medford, NJ.  Proud Grandpa of Ashlie, Julie, Amy, Daniel, Michael, Christopher, Bryan, Douglas, Erika, Dennis, Brianna, Kevin, Alicia, Jacob and Rebecca, Dan was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren. Son of the late Daniel F. and Margaret A. Riley, he was the loving brother of Gregory Riley of Braintree, Judith Lyons of Whitman and the late John Riley, Joanne Stokinger, Joseph Riley and Virginia DiTullio. Dan is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  
 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
