Evans, Daniel F. of Hull, formerly of Cambridge, died July 9, 2018. He was 91.
Dan proudly served in the Navy in WWII. He went on to have a successful career with the City of Cambridge in the public works department and waste management. He was also a constable and notary public for the city. Dan was a life member of the
Weymouth Elks serving as past trustee and chairman of the Investigations Committee, American Legion Post 120 in Hingham, North American Hunting Club, North American Fishing Club, National Rifle Association, and member of the Destroyer Escort Association. He will be dearly missed.
Husband of the late Frances (Ryan) Evans and survived by his beloved Ginny of 23 years. Devoted father of Nancy Clerkin and her husband Paul of Hingham, Daniel F. Evans, Jr. and his wife Kristen of Hull, Jane Evans and her partner Mike Lyons of Hull and Bryan Evans and his wife Deborah of Hull. Cherished Papa of Ryan, Matthew, Leigh Ann, DJ, Elena, Bryce, Rylie, Hannah, great granddaughter Madison, and great-grandson Evan. Loving brother of Helen Latanowich of Somerville and the late Gladys Mello, Pearl Driscoll, Gussie Spingel, Mary Kersulis, Tom, Edward and Robert Evans. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
