Christine Marian Sarazen
Christine Marian Sarazen, of New York, NY and more recently Hull, MA passed away on September 16, 2022. Chris was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and moved to NYC in 1974 where she raised her family.
Chris was a dedicated volunteer and philanthropist. She was a cofounder of New York City Parents in Action in 1980 and was actively involved throughout her life in drug and alcohol prevention. Chris also practiced Tibetan Buddhism and was very involved in the Buddhist communities in both New York City and Woodstock, NY. She taught meditation to anyone and everyone who was interested in learning.
Loving daughter of the late Theodore M Horwith and the late Hazel Horwith (Sundling). Cherished mother of daughters Christina Chisholm (John), Andrea Melton (Nick) and Tsering Yudon (Sither Gau). She is the beloved Nana of John, Katie and Will Chisholm and Henry, Jack and Nate Melton.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the American Heart Association and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
