Charlene D. Archer

Archer, Charlene (Delp) of Quincy, died November 27, 2015, after a sudden illness.

Charlene’s life was centered around her family, especially her son Curran.  She was a high school biology teacher at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School and also an adjunct professor at Quincy College.  Being a mother and role model for children is where she excelled and her life’s work was dedicated to bringing out the best in other people.  A perfect day was one spent on the water in Wollaston Bay on her sailboat with her son Curran.  She supported many worthy causes but two dear to her heart were “Experience Camps” and cancer research.  She ran several marathons; including Boston, Char was a lover of art, and was passionate about mentoring others.  Charlene was a member of the Quincy Art Association and Wollaston Yacht Club.  She will be remembered by her son as a loving and caring mother as well as an inspiration to all for her amazing life. 

Beloved mother of Curran M. Archer of Quincy.  Loving wife of the late Christopher A. Archer.  Cherished daughter of Charles Delp and Ruth (Houser) of PA.  Dear sister of Cheryl Cresswell of PA, Lynne Snyder of FL, Sandi Naso of PA, and Lori Koehler of PA.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 AM in Wollaston Church of the Nazarene, Quincy.  Cremation will follow.
