Bruce David Bolden

Bruce David Bolden of Braintree, died March 16, 2016 at the age of 73.

Born and raised in Sidney, Ohio in a strong and loving family, he was the son of the late Helen M. and Leo Bolden. He is survived by his partner and best friend Tom Kelly of Braintree. Also survived by brother Bradley and his wife Thelma of CA; Sisters Susan Thompson and her husband James of OH, Sara Lucas of FL, and Constance Spradley of OH; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Leroy, Bill, Robert, Ben, Bernie and Boyd; sisters Peggy Byrd and Barbara Stroud.

David was a graduate of Sidney High School and a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Following his military service he relocated to Boston and worked for many years as a Deputy Clerk for the US District Court in Boston, retiring in 2001. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and neighbors for his many good qualities, but particularly for his wonderful sense of humor and hearty laugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to a attend the graveside service at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Hingham on Saturday, May 14th at Noon. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
