Beatrice B. Barrett

Barrett, Beatrice B. (Genovese) (Baldi) of Hingham, passed away peacefully at her home May 26, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. 

Beatrice was born in Boston and graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls in 1937.  She was a shining business woman as owner of Capeway Realty.  Beatrice found most pleasure in cooking for her family especially for the annual Christmas parties.  She loved her home where she lived for 57 years. She was an avid gardener and took much pleasure from the grounds of her home. She enjoyed traveling with family to Europe and the Caribbean.  Beatrice was a member of the Hingham Yacht Club for many years and loved spending time on her boat with friends and family.  She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Beloved wife of the late Paul L. Barrett and formerly the late Salvatore C. Genovese.  Loving mother of Camellia Genovese Sullivan and her husband David of Andover, Johanna Genovese Stella of Exuma, Bahamas and Hingham, Charles Genovese and his wife Diane and William Genovese and his wife Linda all of Hingham.  Devoted Nonnie of Marisa and David A. Sullivan, Stephen Stella, Monique Souza, Alicia Climer, Andrew, Gregory, Michael, Matthew, Lindsey, Melaina, Alexandria Genovese, Emily Harriman, Rachel, Julia and Joshua Genoveses.  Predeceased by her parents Bartholomew and Giovanna Baldi.  Caring sister of the late Fortunata LaPorta, Jenny Cataldo, Jaqueline Pentone, Lena Genovese, Dr. Alfred Baldi, Dr. Edward Baldi, Lewis Baldi and William Baldi.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday and Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
