Barbara A. Brennan

Barbara A. (Hearn) Brennan died peacefully on November 28, 2015 at Cardigan Nursing Facility surround by her loving family. She was 87 years of age.

Beloved wife of the late John J. “Iggy” Brennan. Devoted mother of the late John “Jack”, Charles “Buddy” married to Catherine of Marshfield Hills, Michael married to Mary of North Weymouth, Peter married to Pam of Quincy, Lynne Pitt married to Earle of Falmouth and Stephen of Pembroke. Daughter of the late Charles and Frances Hearn. Loving sister of the late Elizabeth Howlett and Charles Hearn. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Barbara was born and raised in North Weymouth, where she lived her entire life. She was a graduate of Weymouth High School Class of 1945 and continued her education at Mount Ida College and Colby Junior College. Her father owned Hearn’s Drug Store in North Weymouth where Barbara worked for many years. In later years she worked as the guidance secretary at Weymouth South High School. After retirement, Barbara and her husband, John, delivered the Patriot Ledger to over 500 customers. For many years, Barbara enjoyed spending the winters in Marco Island, FL.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to Cardigan Nursing Facility Attention Activities Director, 59 Country Way, Scituate, MA 02066. In a special way, Barbara’s family would like to thank the staff at Cardigan for taking exceptional care of their Mom.
