Arthur B. Keefe

Keefe, Arthur B. of Quincy, formerly of Watertown, died February 2, 2017. 

Arthur’s family and community gave him the greatest joys in life.  He adored his wife, children and grandchildren.  His other passion was the Knights of Columbus in N. Quincy, Council #2259.  He was a past grand knight and an active member in all council activities for almost 60 years, where he developed numerous lifelong friendships.  He was also a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in N. Quincy.  His family enjoyed many summers at their cottage on Island Pond in Plymouth.  He was a past president of the Holy Name Society, a board member of the Quincy Retirees Association, former Democratic Committee Delegate for Ward 6, and volunteer with Quincy Youth Hockey.  Arthur’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Milton Hospital and Season’s Hospice for their care and compassion.  Arthur was a Rehabilitation Specialist with the City of Quincy Planning Department for 27 years and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. 

Beloved husband of Marie  L. (Duggan) Keefe of Quincy.  Loving father of Annie M. Dutton and her husband Scott of Milton and Kathleen M. Sullivan and her husband David of S. Boston.  Loving son of the late John A. Keefe and Bertha M. (White) Keefe.  Devoted brother of Jane F. Rinck and her husband Philip of Waltham.  Cherished grandfather to Haley M. Dutton, Patrick A. Sullivan, and Christopher T. Sullivan.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 12-4 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.  Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
