Anne M. McCann

McCann, Anne M. (Craig) born on July 9, 1926 died peacefully at home in Hull on November 21, 2015 at the age of 89.

Born in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of the late John & Minnie Craig. She was graduate of Girls Latin School and the Katherine Gibbs School, after which she worked as a lab technician at Boston City Hospital. It was there she met a young BU Medical student named Paul McCann. The two later married, settled in Jamaica Plain and raised a family. Anne later worked as a secretary in her husband’s office. They retired together and settled in Hull for their retirement years. They remained there together until Dr. Paul C. McCann’s death in February 2011 after 61 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children, Susan McCann and Jean Kenney, Paul, Jr. and his wife Melodie McCann and Patrick McCann all of Hull. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT. 3A-Bicknell Sq.). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Anne’s Church, Samoset Ave. and Lewis St. Hull at 10 AM. Interment in Hull Village Cemetery. The McCann family would like to thank the Norwell Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice Center for all their help and care during Anne’s final months.
