Anne M. Hilbert

Hilbert, Anne M. (Fitzpatrick) of Weymouth, passed away November 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was born in Boston to the late Anna (Keane) and James Fitzpatrick. She was raised in Dorchester and attended Dorchester High School. She worked at Boston Edison Company, where she made lifelong friends and met the love of her life.  Anne enjoyed traveling with her husband Dick, especially to Ireland and England. She was an avid Red Sox fan.  Anne and Dick traveled to many Red Sox away games with other members of the BoSox Club over the years.  Anne was a long-time friend of Lois W., and strong supporter of many friends of Bill W.  She was politically active for many years, and held positions as Weymouth Town Meeting Member, Citizens for Limited Taxation Member, and Vice-Chair of the Weymouth Charter Commission.  She was an active member of Massachusetts Citizens for Life, traveling to Washington DC annually.  Anne was proud of her Irish heritage and her family meant the world to her.

Beloved wife of 57 years to Richard F. “Dick” Hilbert of Weymouth. Loving mother of Mary Anne Barry and her husband Michael of Braintree, Kathleen Danna of Weymouth and Stephanie Dwyer and her husband Michael of Weymouth. Dear sister of the late Robert “Bobby” Fitzpatrick and Gerard “Jerry” Fitzpatrick. Devoted Nana to Brendan Danna, Maeve Danna, Sean Barry, Patrick Danna, Thomas Barry, Cecilia Dwyer, Grace Dwyer, Teddy Dwyer and Emmeline Dwyer. Also survived by many lifelong friends and extended family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, November 15, 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, November 16, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
