Anastasia J. Janus-Cullivan

Janus-Cullivan, Anastasia J. “Ana” (Sarantakis) of Hull and formerly of Cambridge, passed after a short illness on January 19, 2023.

Ana loved her family and her faith. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, dancing, and traveling, especially to Greece. She was a snowbird and spent winters at NLYH in Naples, Florida. She wrote a monthly newsletter for her community in Naples and was greatly loved by the residents there. Ana worked as a senior accounting officer for Housing and Dining at MIT for more than 30 years. She was always a hard worker and has been since she was 10 years old. She was a feisty, thoughtful, and caring woman who always put others before herself. She had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel W. Cullivan and Richard R. Janus, Sr. Loving mother of Richard R. Janus, Jr. and his wife Martha, and Christine Dalba. Cherished Yia Yia of Sara, Jonathan, and Anastasia. Loving sister of Katherine Lawless and her husband Joseph, Mary Murray and her husband Peter, and brother Anthony Sarantakis and his wife Vera. Cherished aunt of Steven and Kathryn Lawless, John Lawless, Pamela and Peter Reed, Carolyn and Brian Savage, Diane Mendez, John and Colleen Sarantakis, George Tsafonias, and many other loving family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 5-9 PM  in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM in Nativity-Assumption of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) Greek Orthodox Church, 811 Jerusalem Rd., Cohasset. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ana may be made to The ALS Association, PO Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037 and Navity-Assumption of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) Greek Orthodox Church.
