Alice Wells

 

 

 

Wells, Alice, a longtime resident of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at the Sunrise of Braintree Assisted Living, where she has resided for the past five years, on May 6, 2023. She was 82.

Born in Boston in 1940 to the late Frank and Ellen (Turner) Wells. Alice was one of two girls and is predeceased by her sister Carolyn Wells.

Alice attended local schools and graduated with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Framingham State. She also served our great nation as a Dietitian in the United States Army. Alice had a passion for swimming, traveling, reading, and quilting. She would make fantastic quilts and donated them to the Interfaith Social Services as often as she could. Alice was a fantastic woman with a kind heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her cousins Karen Coveney and her husband Mark of Weymouth, Gabriela Coveney, Caitlin Coveney, and Cassie Coveney all of Weymouth. Cherished friends Marylou and Fay and families. Also survived by many other cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday 9:30-10:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles St. (corner of Charles & Middles Streets), Weymouth. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s name may be made to the Interfaith Social Services, 105 Adams Street, MA 02169.
