Alice Sheila Lawler

Lawler, Alice Sheila (Geraway) recently of Maine, died March 11, 2017.

Alice grew up in Worcester but lived in Weymouth and Florida for several years before recently moving to Maine. Alice loved tending to her beautiful garden in Florida and Molly her cat. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and was especially proud of answering the Jeopardy questions correctly. Alice was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.  

A strong person spiritually, Alice suffered a great deal of loss of family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband James F. Lawler, twin angel daughters Leah Young and Sheila Reynolds, loving son John Lawler as well as siblings William, Robert, Frank, and Alan Geraway, Louise Banfill and Beverly Kinney. 

Alice is survived by, and was a devoted mother to, Nancy Jones of Maine, Susan Anderson of Maine, Donna Butts of Massachusetts, and James Reynolds of New Jersey.  She is also survived by, and was a loving sister to, Glenn Geraway of MA, and Donna Oberhorf of CT.  Alice was a cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. Alice donated to various children, religious and pet charities monthly.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alice may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to an animal shelter of your choice.
