Alice M. Katapodis of Braintree, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 25, 2018. She was 83.

Beloved wife of the late Gregory Myron Katapodis, a noted Local 537 Pipefitter. Loving mother of Greg M. Katapodis and his wife, Elizabeth, of Hanover and Karen A. Ewing and her fiancé Peter Bontos of Braintree. She was a super Nana to Christal M. Katapodis of San Diego, CA, Gregory F. Katapodis and his wife, Katherine, of Hanson, Lindsi P. Bourgea and her husband, Eric, of Bridgewater, Chelsi L. Ewing, and Tori L. Ewing, both of Braintree. Great grandmother to Michael F. Norton of Braintree. Sister of Alma M. Pinto of Weymouth, Anna M. Barron and her husband, Leo, of Malden, and the late Gregory Gelenian. She was also a loving mother figure to Christine M. Katapodis of Marshfield.

She was kind, generous, loving, and a friend to many and the best Mother, Nana, and Great Grandmother. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
