Alice M. Golden

Alice M. (Kavanagh) Golden, of Weymouth, died November 18, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Alice grew up in Quincy and lived in New Zealand for 3 years before raising her family in Weymouth for the past 24 years. A graduate of Boston College, she worked for Andersen Consulting as a manager before her love for arts and crafts led to becoming an accomplished freelance designer. Alice was a creative woman who enjoyed playing games, photography, world travel and cooking for friends and family. She also served on the advisory board for the St. Paul’s Choir School in Cambridge. Alice was blessed with many dear friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of Joe Golden of Weymouth. Devoted mother of James, Stephen and Jack Golden, all of Weymouth. Daughter of Ann Kavanagh of Quincy and the late John Kavanagh. Loving sister of Sandra Khirallah and her husband Ralph of Norwood and Sharon Lesher of Newton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 3-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Paul’s Church, Cambridge, Saturday at 11 AM.

Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alice may be made to the St. Paul’s Choir School, 29 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
