Veteran

Alfred T. Bousquet

Private Service

Alfred T. Bousquet, died on July 21, 2016, at South Shore Hospital.

Al was born in Salem, MA and served in the Navy on the USS Block Island.  He received the National Defense and European Occupation service medal. Al was a former 24-year resident of Hull, MA and current resident of Indian Harbour Beach, FL. After retirement, he and his wife spent their summers in Hull with family.

Al loved playing softball, candle-pin bowling, playing horseshoes, doing jigsaw puzzles, and having family adventures.  He worked for the Hingham Tree & Park  Department, as an auto mechanic for Saab, and retired as a machinist from Boston Gear Works. He was quick with a joke and his proudest achievement was that, at 81 years old, he was still playing softball!

He is survived and will be missed by his wife of 59 years, Pat, and by their seven children; Patty, Brenda, Tom, Bob, Terry, Cindy and Chris. He will also be missed by his 14 grandchildren; Cory, Jamie, Jessie, Randi, Jake, Richard, Crystal, Ayla, Adam, John, James, Christina, Kylee and Jillian, and two step-granchildren; Darla and Michael, as well as five great-grandchildren: Cheyenne,  Kayla, Chloe, Ryleigh, Hayden, Majesta, and Scarlett, and one step great-grandchild, Ryan. His closest siblings are Alice, Louise, Shirley, Louis (his identical twin), and Bobby.

He touched the lives of many with his warm heart and welcoming way – he will be missed by too many to list here.

There will be a family only memorial service on July 29, 2016.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers you perform a random act of kindness.
