Alfred P. DiCarlo

Alfred P. DiCarlo (Fred) of Milton passed away suddenly on Monday, October 16th 2017 at South Shore Hospital. He was 93.

Born in Revere, Mr. DiCarlo was  the son of the late Joseph and Louise DiCarlo. Fred lived in N. Quincy for most of his life before moving to Milton 22 years ago. He worked for Mass Engineering and Boston Gear Works. He was a Veteran of the Army during WWII. Fred was a member of the Presidents Men’s Golf Association, Elks Lodge in Quincy and the American Legion Post in Milton. He was an avid bowler with Montclair Couple’s Bowling League. Fred was known by many as the Frankie Lane of Quincy as he preformed in many establishments throughout the South Shore. Fred loved being with his family and friends.

Beloved husband of 53 years to the late Nancy DiCarlo. Loving father of Nancy DiCarlo of Ogunquit, ME, Alfred DiCarlo of Hanson, Laura and Bobby Jordan of Stoughton, Donna and Peter Harvey of Hingham, Philip and Fredda DiCarlo of Boca Raton, FL, Karen and Frank Guido of Norton, and David and Patty DiCarlo of Braintree. Brother of Marilyn Nestor of N. Quincy and brother of the late Joseph, Sully, Michael, Camille, Angie, Sarah, Louise and Mildred DiCarlo. Devoted grandfather of 18 and great grandfather of 9. Fred is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 2-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fred may be made to VA Boston Healthcare, 940 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.
