Agnes M. Campbell

Campbell, Agnes M. (Griffin)

She was a beloved wife to the late John (Roy) Campbell. Cherished mother to Marianne C. Potter and her husband Douglas of N. Woodstock, NH, John R. Campbell and his wife Cheryl of Braintree, Christine Feterowski and her husband Gottie of East Bridgewater, Jean A. Romano and her husband Mark of East Bridgewater, and Roberta C. Campbell of Pembroke. Sister to William Griffin of Dedham, and the late Francis Griffin. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Agnes loved stories: reading them and especially telling them. She loved to tell about her upbringing in South Boston with her twin brothers and never missed the opportunity to talk about her Irish heritage. It was there that she became a die-hard Red Sox fan, a passion that lasted throughout her life, and which she instilled in her children and grandchildren.  Always a nurse to the end, Agnes was a proud graduate of Boston City Hospital School of Nursing, having helped so many in their time of need working at Boston City Hospital and then Quincy City Hospital. Above all, Agnes placed her family first, her warmth, humor, and trademark spirit will be forever missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
