Cunningham, Absalom M. “Barney” of Quincy, Ma died on July 17, 2018

Barney was a World War II veteran (1939-1945) and was proud of his service to his country.  He served in the Army Air Corps as a 1st. Lt.  Later Barney worked at Polaroid up to his retirement.

Barney enjoyed traveling with his wife and learning about all the different cultures he visited.  His main passion was his family, Barney never missed a family event and cherished the time spent with them.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and all enjoyed his antics.  He had a strong faith in God and an appreciation for the bible and bible education work.  He will be sadly missed.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 71 years, Mildred (Watson).  Loving father of Kenneth Cunningham and his wife Janice of Roslindale, William Cunningham and his wife Kathleen of Randolph, Nancy Callanan and her husband Thomas of Quincy, Michael Cunningham and his wife Phuong of Norwood and Stephen Cunningham and his wife Maryellen of Marshfield.  Devoted grandfather of Joseph Callanan, Marie Reen, Christina Langan, Michael, K.C., Katie, William, Brendan and Christopher Cunningham, Beth Murray and Sean and Paul Monahan, along with 23 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services were private.
