Wolfgang M. G. Rietzl

Rietzl, Wolfgang M. G. of Hingham, formerly of Norwell passed away May 30, 2012. Beloved husband of Alice (Schulam) Rietzl of Hingham. Devoted father of Linda M. Hines and her husband Michael of Norwell, Perry M. Rietzl and his wife Gertraud of Germany, Lisa M. Orcutt and her companion Jeffrey M. Akasten of Norwell and Lauren J. Chiaramonte of Hingham. Brother of Hans Rietzl of Florida and the late Marianna and Adolf. Cherished grandfather of Christopher and Mikayla Hines of Norwell and Melissa, Marco and Michele Rietzl of Germany. Wolfgang was born and raised in Germany and came to the United States in 1956. He was the National Service Manager for Porsche before becoming the General Service Manager for Porsche and Audi, a division of Volkswagen of America. In 1970 he opened Rietzl Porsche Audi in Norwell where he was the Dealer Principal for 40 years Prior to retiring in 2010. An active member in the Dealer Council for years, he was regarded by both manufacturers as a leader amongst dealers. Wolfgang was a member of the Porsche Club of America for over 50 years. With endless enthusiasm and an unbelievable sense of humor he made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a passionate man with many interests from auto racing to skiing. He loved traveling in his motor home with his wife and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-5pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral service will be celebrated on Sunday at 5 PM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham. Cremation will follow.
