Winifred S. (Dillon) Traft, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully in Quincy Monday, April 9, 2012, with her loving family by her side. She was 94 years of age. Born in Everett, Ma., Winnie was the daughter of Hugh & Ann (Joyce) Dillon of Ireland. Beloved wife of the late William F. Traft. Devoted mother of William R Traft and his wife Susan of Kingston, Sharon A. Traft of Quincy, the late Robert A Traft and his wife Lorraine of Dorchester, James E. Traft and his wife Patricia of Milton and Allan P. Traft and his wife Anne of Norwell. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. and many nieces and nephews. Winnie was an avid reader, loved playing cards and bingo, and a long time Red Sox fan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Brendan’s Church, 589 Gallivan Boulevard, Dorchester at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacred Heart League, Macular Degeneration Research, or the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
