Our Mother was a devote Catholic whose life on earth was for serving God and others especially her husband and children. She did this not out of obedience but out of pure love for God and others. She was a lady full of compassion, empathy and selflessness. Her true enjoyment was seeing the joy of others. Her sadness was the heartfelt sadness of others. Although her life was not easy, she always graciously accepted everything life dealt her as “God’s will.” Raising 5 children born within 6 ½ years of each other was no easy task, but she did it with constant gentleness and love. When our Father passed away and our Mother’s work on earth was done, God started to gently call her home. Day by day her amazing memory was being chipped away, making everyday life confusing and beyond her grasp. She never became bitter or angry, but would say “I have led a good life; I am ready.” May we always try to follow the beautiful example she set for us. Thank you God for such an incredible blessing. Thank you dear Mother for your endless love, may you rest in eternal peace and happiness.
