Winifred C. Doucette Conte

Doucette Conte, Winifred C. of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree and Boston, passed peacefully in her sleep in the morning of November 26, 2018. She was 96.

Winnie was raised in Boston and attended the Gate of Heaven School in South Boston from early grades through high school. 

Winnie and her deceased husband Albert Conte enjoyed travel to Europe and Hawaii and winters in Florida. 

She survived her Loving sister Loretta Leary, and her brother James Doucette, Jr. She was the devoted aunt of her two nieces and a nephew and their spouses; Diane Doucette Aaron and Dennis of Braintree, Francis and Eleanor Leary of ME, and Lorraine and Edward Bruggerman of ME. 

Winnie was the loving great-aunt to many nieces and nephews with whom she shared holidays and celebrations; Paul Mercurio and his wife Sue of Weymouth, Kim LaTerza and her husband Tony of South Boston, Jason Mercurio and his wife Kelly of TX, Michelle Kessler of ME, Mark Leary of Norwell, and Kristen Malm and her husband Carl of Pembroke. 

She was the cherished great-great-aunt of Alex, Alison, Mark Jr., Taylor, Dylan, Mathew, Nicholas, Dellana, and Natalie. 

Winnie loved music all her life and was an accomplished dancer. She also enjoyed football, studied photography, had many admiring friends, and was a faithful Sunday Mass attendant. 

She will always be loved and missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth, Saturday at 10:30 AM. Burial in Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell at a later date.
