William V. Smyth

Smyth, William V. of Quincy, passed away on January 25, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer, he was 58. Father of James Vincent Smyth of Florida. Cherished son of Anna F. (Kelley) Smyth of Quincy and the late J. Vincent Smyth. Brother of Sheila Smyth of Quincy, J. Thomas Smyth and his wife Dianne of Abington, Ann & Peter Smyth both of Quincy, Maryann Smyth-Hammond and her husband Kevin of Marston Mills and Kathy Gutermann and her husband Carl of Georgia. William is also survived by many nieces,nephews, great nieces and great nephews. William served in the United States Army. For more than 30 years he ran Coastal Marine Refrigeration in Florida. He had a strong work ethic and worked seven days a week. William loved the outdoors and especially the ocean. He was in his element when he was on the water. He will be remembered as a hard working man who loved to be around his family. William will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowning him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
